While I have yet to see the movie, here and here are interesting takes on it by one of my favorite contemporary Jewish writers, Jay Michaelson. Maybe when I see the movie, I can comment more.
Really interesting commentary... I will have to check out Jay Michaelson's book. I would love to hear more about nondual Judaism as I most often consider myself a monist. I was pleasantly surprised by the depiction of the Navi in Avatar- a beautiful embodiment of nonduality and interconnectedness for the masses.
