Have Tefillin Will Travel

I got a kick out of this story.  Apparently, a plane was diverted this morning because some passengers thought that a teenager donning tefillin on the plane was strapping himself with bombs.  Now, I shouldn't make fun of serious security issues, but come on.

    As several people have pointed out about this story - a flight from New York and nobody could clue in the flight crew? Really!?
    And,tefillin have been shown in popular culture - TV, movies, news photos. Personally, I think the crew way overreacted by seeing leather straps as wires.
